Aloha Tower

We ended our visit to Honolulu Harbor at the Aloha Tower, built in 1926.  In those days, everyone arrived in Hawaii by boat, rather than plane, so the tower was a significant landmark welcoming visitors to the Hawaiian Islands.  At ten stories, it was the tallest building in the islands for four decades.  We took the elevator up for some views around Honolulu Harbor and back into the city.

Day Three

The next day we walked to an aquarium in Waikiki, and then spent the rest of the day wandering around the shops.  In the evening we had a nice dinner in an enclosed outdoor setting, and then watched the sunset from the beach.
