Drawer Fronts

I sawed the drawer fronts out of a board of quartersawn madrona (Arbutus menziesii). I cut out a posterboard template to help me visualize what each drawer front would look like, and moved that around until I was satisfied. To reach from an end of the board into what I wanted, I had to saw off more than I needed, but since this included a large knot the excess would be of little use anyway.

After some sawing and planing, I had two drawer fronts roughed out. Some additional planing gave me one drawer front tightly fit into the opening. I will need to adjust the fit a little as I build the drawers.
